About Amrit Kaur, Director and Registered Manager
Amrit is the Grande Care Director and Registered Manager. Amrit acts as a liaison between the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and the organisation and ensures the business operates within the legal framework to maintain a high-quality standard of care for patient-centric services including Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and Positive Risk Assessment (PRA).
Amrit is at the forefront of Grande Cares’ ethos, and her passion for holistic client-led home care in a person-centric setting is at the heart of everything she does.
As an established woman in business, having founded and managed a successful Skin Clinic since 2008, Amrit is qualified in Level 2 Functional Skills in Maths and English and Level 5 Management and Leadership in Adult Social Care. She is also undertaking a MSc in Healthcare leadership (Postgraduate Course Level 7), leading to a PHD in Healthcare Leadership.
In 2019, Amrit acquired Grande Care with a clear vision – to create a holistic approach to home care, promoting independence and well-being in her clients. Amrit takes an active role in her client’s care, ensuring their needs are thoughtfully planned and regularly assessed to help them live more fulfilling lives, both physically and mentally. Amrit’s drive and commitment is to show clients a way to challenge their preconceptions and limiting self-beliefs, and gently push boundaries to where self-esteem and confidence follows.

Grande Cares’ carers have extensive training and qualifications such as BSc honours in nursing and GNM, together with skills and experience in specialist areas for physical and learning disabilities required for critical care. We adopt a comprehensive approach to investing in the staff we recruit by providing an exceptional onboarding experience and staff development programme.
New members of our care team undergo a stringent vetting process and are closely monitored with regular reviews. This ensures we attract the right employees, with the right qualifications, attitude, and aptitude. This approach helps build a competent and committed team leading to a higher level of staff retention, contributing to our service user’s overall quality of care.

We provide a broad spectrum of services, ranging from a few hours of companionship care each week through to 24-hours a day, seven days a week. Because our care is tailored to suit the needs of each individual client, the cost of at-home care varies greatly.
